Bahréin: Nuevo reglamento de eficiencia energética para lámparas

 

Bahrain has published a new draft technical regulation for lamps.  It consists of two parts that cover indirect and direct general light sources having a luminous flux above 60 lumens or below 12,000 lumens and the related energy efficiency labeling (EE label).

The regulations cover energy efficiency requirements, functionality requirements, marking requirements, hazardous chemicals: substance restrictions for lamps and energy efficiency label.

The regulation also defines 6 energy classes (stars).

Most of the standards required for lamps are based on international IEC standards.

Instruction manuals supplied with products shall be in the Arabic and English language. Cautionary and/or any safety warnings for the direct user or consumer shall be in the Arabic and English language. The use of internationally accepted pictograms is permitted instead of verbally expressed language.
