Cambodia: New radio type approval regulations

 

Cambodia has published two new radio type approval regulations: 

• Prakas on Type Approvals and Conformity Assessment of Telecommunications Equipment 

• Prakas on Technical Standards of Telecommunications Equipment 

The first one sets out the conditions and procedures of Type Approval and conformity assessment of Telecommunications Equipment with the aim of ensuring the Telecommunications Equipment to be imported, distributed, supplied, or used in the Kingdom of Cambodia complies with relevant Technical Standards and regulations,  as well as promoting consumer rights and fair competition. 

The second one sets out the Technical Standards of Telecommunication Equipment, with the objective of ensuring interoperability, electromagnetic compatibility, the prevention of radio frequency interference, the safety of telecommunication equipment, infrastructure and networks equipment for users, as well as promoting harmonization between national standards and international standards.
