China: New GB standard for refrigeration and air-conditioning

 

China has published a new standard National Standard of the P.R.C., Refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment—Safety technical specification.

It specifies the general safety requirements for refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, and the safety technical requirements for all aspects of the life cycle including materials, design, manufacturing, installation, use, and maintenance.

The standard does not apply to refrigeration and air conditioning equipment used in automotive air conditioning and marine conditions.
