Japan: Amendments to cosmetics standards

 

Japan has announced a partial revision of the Standards for Cosmetics.

The change is being made to the Law on Securing Quality, Efficacy and Safety of Products Including Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.

2-Aminoethanethiol monohydrochloride has been added to Appendix 2-2 (which contains a list of ingredients restricted according to types or intended purposes of cosmetics) in the Standards for Cosmetics.
