ECHA includes five hazardous chemicals in the Candidate List
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has introduced five new chemicals to the Candidate List. Among them, one exhibits toxicity for reproduction, three are highly persistent and bioaccumulative, and one possesses characteristics of toxicity for reproduction, as well as being persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic. These chemicals are commonly found in products such as inks and toners, adhesives and sealants, as well as washing and cleaning products.
The Candidate List, comprising 240 substances of very high concern known for their potential harm to people or the environment, now includes five additional entries. Companies bear the responsibility of managing the risks associated with these chemicals, providing customers and consumers with information regarding their safe usage.
Furthermore, the Agency has revised the existing Candidate List entry for dibutyl phthalate, now incorporating its recognized endocrine-disrupting properties for the environment.

- 2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol
- 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol
