Eurasian Economic Union: List of products subject to the Technical Regulation for energy efficiency of energy-consuming devices

 

The Technical Regulation of the Customs Union 048/2019 “On the requirements for the energy efficiency of energy-consuming devices” comes into force September 1, 2022.

Recently, the Decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) No. 23 dated February 8, 2022 on the approval of the list of energy-consuming devices was officially published.

The list includes 18 product categories (with EAC HS Codes which help define the affected products).

Among the products subject to the EAC certification (COC) or declaration (DOC) according to the requirements of TR CU 048/2019 are:

  1. Household refrigeration appliances (refrigerators, freezers and their combinations) that can be used for commercial purposes
  2. Single-speed three-phase electric asynchronous (induction) motors with a squirrel-cage rotor
  3. TVs powered by an electrical network with a rated voltage of up to 250 V (inclusive) and intended for use in residential and office premises
  4. Equipment intended for use at home or in the office such as e.g. washing machines, drum-type dryers, dishwashers, electric ovens, electric stoves, microwave ovens, toasters, deep fryers, electric knives, coffee grinders, coffee machines and other appliances for cooking and processing food, communication terminal equipment, printers, scanners, monitors, radio receivers, video cameras, sound amplifiers, electromusical instruments, etc.
  5. Household automatic washing machines that can also be used for commercial purposes
  6. Household dishwashers powered by an alternating current main with a rated voltage of up to 230 V
  7. Stand-alone (not built into television and (or) radio broadcasting receivers) subscriber set-top boxes designed to convert open uncoded digital television and (or) radio broadcasting of standard and (or) high definition into signals corresponding to analog television and (or) radio
  8. Non-directional electric lamps for household and similar purposes, which may also be used for purposes other than lighting or incorporated into other electrical energy-consuming appliances
  9. External power supplies
  10. Sealed circulation pumps
  11. Motorized fans with power from 125 W (inclusive) to 500 kW (inclusive) and supply voltage up to 1000 V (inclusive) AC and up to 1500 V (inclusive) DC
  12. Non-ballast fluorescent lamps, high-pressure discharge lamps, ballasts and luminaires for such lamps
  13. Directional light lamps, light-emitting diode lamps (LED lamps), and related equipment
  14. AC-powered household tumble dryers for textiles, which can also be used for commercial purposes
  15. Vacuum cleaners for household use that can be used for commercial purposes
  16. Computers and servers designed to be powered directly from the AC mains
  17. Autonomous and integrated pumps designed for pumping clean water
  18. Air conditioners powered by the electrical network
