EAEU: New list of products subject to EAC certification and declaration of conformity
From September 1, 2022, new lists of products subject to certification and declaration according to the norms of standards will come into force
On December 30, 2021, Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 2425 dated December 23, 2021 was officially published , which adopted updated lists of products subject to certification and declaration of conformity according to the requirements of the standards. The new nomenclatures will replace those approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 982 dated December 1, 2009.
The new version of the list includes 26 types of products, each of which has additional sub-items for groups of goods. In the list adopted by Decree No. 982, 57 types of products were singled out (excluding excluded and invalidated positions). The new list excludes various types of products for which the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union/Customs Union (TR EAEU/TR CU) are already in force. For example, this applies to rail transport.
- Pipes and pipeline parts made of thermoplastics.
- Pipe fittings: ball valves made of brass (re-included in the nomenclature).
- Products from polymer composites for building purposes.
- Civilian and service weapons and their parts (in the previous edition, several groups were distinguished).
- Construction products made of concrete.
- Sealants.
- Pipes and details of pipelines from cast iron.
- Building metal products.
- Glass for architectural and construction purposes (again included in the nomenclature).
For individual positions, the form of confirmation of conformity changes. For example, in the new list, equipment for applied sports (bows, sabers, swords) falls under the mandatory receipt of a certificate, and in the current version, registration of a declaration of conformity is required. And high-voltage electrical equipment (valve arresters and surge arresters for electric rolling stock and power supply devices of railways; electric traction devices for electric locomotives and electric trains; automatic high-speed switches for rolling stock of railways) are completely excluded from the new list of goods that fall under certification, but such products (current transformers, voltage transformers, power switches, etc.) remains on the list of goods subject to declaration of conformity.
