ChemicalsJamaica: Standard Specification Labelling of household chemicals

Jamaica published the Standard Specification Labelling of household chemicals

This standard specifies requirements for the labelling of household chemicals sold in Jamaica, whether locally-made or imported, and presents a series of warning labels corresponding to the designated classes of dangerous goods as detailed in appendix A. This standard shall be read in conjunction with JS 349 and JS 350.

The revision of the standard was undertaken to review and harmonize the classification of household chemicals with the global harmonized system.  This standard is intended to be compulsory.

A notice of the Standard Specification for Labelling of household chemicals will appear in The Jamaica Gazette Supplement – Proclamations, Rules and Regulations. The document will appear as a Jamaican Standard Specification, with compulsory status, and will be available for sale.
